In the warm, wavering glow of a convenience store in Cangqiong City, Luo Meng wipes down the instant-noodle shelves while the orange tabby, Longmao, paws at the gilded bookmark in the Sage’s Book by his feet. The acceptance letter from Klein University still smells of fresh ink. He has no idea that this honor stems from the boy designated M-726 in a glass chamber at the Superpower Research Institute fifteen years ago. Then, on his birthday, a girl collides with his ordinary life, gears grinding in her wake as she smashes moonlight to pieces
“Make a pact with me, Sage!” Jiuxiao, cloaked in purple, projects the apocalypse countdown onto the cake’s frosting. The savior reborn has starlight from a past life, the light she failed to grasp, twined around her fingertips. Meanwhile, Hua, daughter of a martial arts family, silently crushes the sword aura of the Great Void. The feelings she keeps buried inside burn even hotter than the Demon Pillar in Luo Meng’s dreams.
When the Sage’s Book unfurls seventy-two Demon God seal cards at midnight, the gears of the old grandfather clock in the attic suddenly turn backward. Luo Meng sees himself on a crystal throne, smiling at him from a century of solitude. The Dreamweaver Sage, who once carved a divine core from a golden-haired girl, now transforms the Apocalypse deck into a butterfly that lands in his palm.
Frost clouds from the convenience store freezer spill across the boundary of reality, and the Superpower Research Institute’s designation glows blood-red on the backs of the cards. The reborn and the transmigrators, the artificial weapons and the saviors, all their destinies converge into a burning fuse as the eighteen birthday candles go out. How can he stop the version of himself who is willing to become a Demon God to protect someone precious before the apocalypse arrives?
(This is a story about a lonely soul embracing bonds, a savior learning to cry, and an artificial god becoming human again.)
The plot is generally good. I feel that the author's character is a bit like Jotaro. He doesn't repeat too much knowledge that everyone knows, and he trusts our knowledge reserves very much. Plot development: The fight between Platinum Star and Crimson King was deleted. 😏
It's so beautiful. I can't live without this book, just like the West cannot live without Jerusalem. The description is very good, very good, but it feels like there are some gaps. Is the plot moving too fast?
