The Startrack Casebook

. One supernatural story every day. One Lin Yu dies each day, and Lin Yu's happy life goes on through death and back again.

A chilling tale about three couples who venture into an abandoned ancient village to explore, only to encounter a series of paranormal events.

The three couples, Lin Yu and Su Yao, Chen Feng and Ye Xuan, Zhao Yang and Lin Yue, enter the ancient village, curious about the unknown. As night falls, one strange phenomenon follows another. Mysterious noises echo from the ancestral hall, shadows flicker into view, and the group discovers mysterious symbols. Touching a taboo triggers hallucinations, and members begin to vanish one after another as the supernatural threat closes in.

The strange phenomena in the village seem connected to a botched sacrificial ritual from years ago. As the couples search for the truth and try to escape, they keep triggering supernatural rules: going out alone at night, touching the black stone in the ancestral hall, answering strange calls, and more. Each violation pushes them into greater danger. As time passes, distrust spreads among the group and internal conflicts intensify.

In the end, Lin Yu finds a way to appease the evil spirit's fury using a crucial clue, and holds a sacrificial ritual in the ancestral hall. During the ritual, the group fights desperately against the spirit. Sadly, Su Yao sacrifices herself to save Lin Yu, and he is the only one who manages to escape the village. The terrifying ordeal becomes a wound in his heart that will never heal.
