Worldview and Core Conflict
Cultivation system
The original "Heart Lamp" cultivation method requires monks to light the Heart Lamp in order to break through the realm. The brightness of the heart lamp symbolizes cultivation, but excessive burning will backfire on the soul, which coincides with the philosophical metaphor of "holding a torch against the wind, burning and mourning"17. The male protagonist Xu Changan was sold as a medicine slave due to his failed awakening, but unexpectedly inherited the bloodline of an ancient person who should be robbed, and used the "Nine Tribulations Heart Lamp" to change his fate against the will of heaven.
Power structure
The story begins in the Qingniu Town of Yizhou in the fictional dynasty "Dayin". On the surface, it is a competition for the interests of the cultivation families (such as the Lu family), but in fact it is a hidden game of the blood of the ancient gods. The key prop "Taixu Secret Key" triggers the competition among the forces of the three realms, connecting multiple forces such as the human imperial power, the heritage of the Wu clan, and the return of the sea country45.
Character relationship
The male protagonist Xu Changan: Bearing the fate of "the one who should be robbed", he seals the secret key of Taixu in his left hand, uses medicine to enter Taoism, and creates the original "Nine Needles of Taisu" to connect life and death.
The heroine Su Mingyue: Princess Dayin, who looks cold and arrogant as a swordsman, but is actually the reincarnation of the Nine Heavens Xuannv. Her natal sword formation "Cang Ben Mingyue" echoes the poem "A bright moon rises above Cang Ben" 7.
The heroine Aman is an orphan of the witch clan. She has the blood of a mermaid and is proficient in the art of ancient witchcraft. Her awakening "Blood Sacrifice of the Candle Dragon" is intertwined with the desolate artistic conception of the frontier poem "The Ancient Garrison Cang Cang Beacon Fire Cold"16.
