"It's just a pity I still owe you a drink, sir!"
Strange things abound in the misty rain of Jiangnan. One sword breaks through evil to reveal all living beings.
The scholar Li Baiyu, clad in blue, travels through Jiangnan. In a torrential downpour, he encounters a mysterious old man in white, uncovering a long-buried secret from five hundred years ago, when a flood dragon transformed into a true dragon.
At Ninghai Town, a child-sacrifice ritual and a blood-filled coffin appear. A "mountain god" with a tiger's body and an ox's tail devours living beings, while ignorant villagers kneel before demons as though they were gods.
When a sharp sword shatters the false altar, the flood dragon coiled among the clouds reveals its blood-red eyes. The true mountain god had long since been betrayed by the faith placed in it, sinking into despair and becoming a bloodthirsty fiend.
"Sir, do you know that even a god who protects all living beings can be pushed into hell by those very people?"
Was this encounter in the rain an act of salvation, or a god's execution? When the scholar points his sword at the heavens, what will he cut down: demons, or the sins bred in the human heart?
The most poisonous hatred in this world is power divine, tainted by human greed.
