Han Qiyu hoisted Zhao Yinshu over her shoulder and was about to leave when a cold voice came from behind. Her back stiffened.

Feng Xingye spun around and looked toward the voice, shining his flashlight in the same direction. A woman in a pink dress had appeared out of nowhere not far away, arms folded as she watched with keen interest. Who knew how long she’d been there?

“Butterfly Lord of a Thousand Faces!”

Feng Xingye clenched his fist, his heart filled with alarm.

When did she appear? He hadn’t noticed at all. Why couldn’t he sense her mental energy?

“Humans, you’ve got some nerve, coming to this lord’s nest.” The woman in pink curled her lips into a smile and looked at Han Qiyu in confusion. “So you didn’t die. Impressive. The Bewitching Egg Worms didn’t poison you to death. Instead of saving your life, why come to my lair? To die?”

The Bewitching Egg Worms. So that was what had killed the original owner.
