The protagonist, Lin Yu, accidentally activates the System for Reviewing the Great Figures of History. From then on, a mysterious sky screen appears across time and space, hovering over every dynasty and bringing legendary stories to life, stirring up incredible waves.
The sky screen reviews legendary figures one by one, including “Ma Empress, the Greatest Virtuous Empress in History,” “Xi Shi, the Most Beautiful Woman in History,” and “Emperor Zhu Youtang, the Most Devoted Emperor in History.” In the chaos at the end of the Yuan dynasty, Empress Ma stood by Zhu Yuanzhang through thick and thin, assisting him with her virtue as he built his empire. She kept the imperial harem in perfect order and cared deeply for the common people, earning generous rewards from the System and the envy of rulers across the dynasties. Xi Shi, whose beauty made fish forget to swim, shouldered the burden of restoring the state of Yue and moved among the women of the Wu court. Her fate remains a mystery, and both her story and the rewards she received shocked everyone. Zhu Youtang endured hardship throughout his childhood, then ushered in the “Hongzhi Restoration” after ascending the throne. Devoted to Zhang Shi all his life, he moved people with his deep love, while the System's rewards once again inspired the emperors of every dynasty to yearn for the same.
