[No golden finger + xianxia + strong female lead + not a wish-fulfillment story + probably an ensemble cast + relatively clean romance + love is not the main plot, possibly angsty]
The world is divided into five realms: the Divine, Immortal, Human, Demon, and Fiend realms. The Twelve Gods dwell above the Ninth Heaven, keeping heaven and earth from collapsing and ensuring the sun, moon, and stars each fulfill their duties. They may never step beyond the Chutian Gate. Humans can cultivate immortal arts and ascend to immortality on Mount Kunlun, where they each have their own duties, craft all kinds of magical artifacts, and defend against incursions by evil clans to protect all living beings. Those who practice forbidden arts risk losing control and falling into the demonic path, where they are sealed away in the Sea of Rakshasas. Demons are formed when flowers, plants, fish, insects, birds, and beasts absorb the spiritual energy of heaven and earth. They dwell in the Great Wilderness and obey the Demon God.
The Great Wilderness was destroyed a hundred years ago, forcing the demon clan to flee to the human world. Cultivators were saddled with an extra job: hunting demons.
Follow the heroic Jiang Sheng as she descends the mountain to travel the world, overcoming one obstacle after another, growing into herself, finding love and peace, and protecting all living beings. What an exciting tale!
Everyone: Ooh~
Jiang Sheng: What is it? Was anything I said wrong? I'm kind, adorable, cheerful, and lively. Hurry up and read all about my glorious exploits! This stuff will be on the test!
