I Became the Second Emperor of the Qin Dynasty

Synopsis of I Became the Second Emperor of Qin

I Became the Second Emperor of Qin is a historical transmigration novel set during the Qin dynasty. It tells the exciting story of Lin Yu, a modern graduate student in history who transmigrates into the body of Hu Hai, Qin Er Shi, and uses his intelligence and knowledge of history to rewrite the fate of the Qin dynasty.

Lin Yu had focused on studying Qin history and held a unique view of Hu Hai’s true character. After an accident, he transmigrates to the Qin dynasty in 210 BCE, just as Qin Shi Huang Ying Zheng is gravely ill and dies. Zhao Gao is plotting to alter the imperial decree and install Hu Hai on the throne so he can control the government, even though Qin Shi Huang’s true intention was to pass the throne to Fusu.

As Hu Hai, Lin Yu finds himself at the heart of a power struggle, facing enormous dangers and challenges. He pretends to cooperate with Zhao Gao to buy time, while joining forces with the loyal General Meng Yi to deliver Qin Shi Huang’s authentic decree to Fusu and prepare for Zhao Gao’s schemes.

The delivery of the decree is fraught with danger. Zhao Gao sends men to intercept the messengers, making their journey perilous. After receiving the decree, Fusu also encounters obstacle after obstacle on his way back to Xianyang. Outside the city, the gates are shut, and he is falsely accused of rebellion.

At the critical moment, Lin Yu steps forward, using his wits to gather evidence of Zhao Gao’s plot. In the main hall of Xianyang Palace, he engages Zhao Gao in a fierce battle of wits. In the end, Lin Yu successfully exposes Zhao Gao’s crimes and has him thrown into prison. Fusu then ascends the throne, and Lin Yu is named King of Qin in recognition of his outstanding service, helping Fusu govern the country.
