Tales of a Cat Demon's Strange Encounters

After the great wars ended, the Celestial Realm and the various factions allowed monsters to adapt to modern society. Monsters could make soul-trading contracts with humans, helping them cultivate and granting human wishes. The protagonist, the cat demon Ye Jing, is one such monster, and also happens to be a writer. What sets Ye Jing apart is that he uses electronic contracts. But behind these contracts lurk many "lawbreakers," using them to carry out a vast conspiracy involving drugs, sex, and gambling. A crime story about monsters in the modern city.
