My Homestay Connects Past and Present, and Money Comes Rolling In

Qi Yu, who failed the civil service exam, returns to his hometown to take over his grandfather’s guesthouse. He plans to eke out a quiet life there as a carefree slacker, but his peaceful days are upended when Yun Jingming, an emperor of the Great Ling Dynasty whose power has been stripped away, arrives unexpectedly.

There’s Yun Jingming, a child emperor who ascended the throne at a young age, only for his uncle to control the court for years; a tragic, beautiful heir to the throne like the Count of Monte Cristo; and the story of a fallen aristocrat’s son who grows into a powerful minister…

Anyone whose story has ended can never return to the guesthouse. And yet someone is able to travel freely between the two eras… Are they the one destined to do so?

But… Qi Yu is speechless. “Why are there two of you? Come on, you’re all from ancient times!”
