The story takes place in an ancient martial arts world, where righteous and evil forces take turns controlling the martial world. The Blood Rain Tower and the Xuantian Alliance face off as two great powers. Evil forces represented by the Blood Rain Tower secretly manipulate the martial world, while the Xuantian Alliance, the righteous faction, gradually declines. The various sects waver between good and evil.
