Surviving the Mist: Building an Underground Shelter

Betrayed by his closest friend on an Antarctic expedition, Shen Mo is on the verge of death in an ice cavern when he is swept into the “Fogbound Continent,” a land shrouded in eternal gray daylight, where extreme cold, floods, acid rain, and fog-mutated creatures push humanity to the brink.

Trapped in a ten-meter-deep snow pit from the start, with only 60 minutes of power left in his respirator, he turns around and scores his first kill, a frost-armored beetle!

As the System alerts ring out, a silver chest yields fog crystals for power, an elite battle axe, and a potion recipe. A geothermal spring also gives him an unlimited supply of water.

While the other survivors huddle in drafty wooden cabins, Shen Mo has already built a temperature-controlled underground shelter and cornered the market with his healing potions.

But the real game-changer is a strange fungal mat that devours corpses. It spreads into defensive fortifications, digests spoils, and even turns his enemies’ shelters into fertilizer.

“Zhou Mingyu, I’ll repay you a hundredfold for what you did to me in that ice cavern.”

A blizzard sweeps in with colossal beasts from the fog. Survivors around the world wail over the comms, while Shen Mo only smirks, gripping his bloodstained battle axe. Beneath his feet, fungal threads are quietly weaving a throne of blood.
