Overall, it's not bad. I personally think it would be better if there were no emotional ties between the two. Also, the protagonist's degree of control over hatred seems to be a bit inconsistent with his usual emotional control. The difference is a bit big.
The subject matter is quite good, but the protagonist gives people a sense of beauty that the left and right brains are fighting against each other.
