Siheyuan: He Daqing Runs Off from the Start, Leaving Me to Teach

When Chen Weiping wakes up, he's completely bewildered! He's transmigrated to a courtyard compound in 1952?

And become the apprentice of He Daqing, a cook at the steel mill?

Even more absurdly, He Daqing is about to elope with the White Widow, and before leaving, he foists an unruly apprentice on Chen: Silly Zhu, He Yuzhu!

Silly Zhu relies on his father's indulgence to pick fights at every turn and refuses to take orders?

Heh, perfect!

"Ding! The Wayward Apprentice Training System has been activated!"

Disciplining He Yuzhu earns System rewards? Masterful cooking skills, rare ingredients, daily necessities... It's got everything!

All right! I'll start by whipping this silly apprentice into shape. Let's see how I, Chen Weiping, can use my excellent cooking and the System to make a name for myself in this ever-changing courtyard compound, ushering in a prosperous new era and forging a very different path as a master chef!
