At the Side of the Treacherous

When the God of Treachery descended upon an unknown boy, his memories had already been lost long before. When an orphanage for troubled children closed, the first divine arrival appeared, and the first case of a child going missing from the orphanage happened by coincidence. As his memories gradually awakened and his powers slowly returned, the truth of his origins was revealed. The world's balance began to tip. The strong hunted them down, while the weak clung to them like dogs. No one knew whether their target was the boy, someone else, or perhaps someone who had been innocent all along. Was it because of an identity that seemed to be nothing but a hollow title, the world's prejudice, or simply fear? Some raised their blades against those closest to them; some struck at their dearest friends; and some pointed the blades in their hands at the innocent. Had treachery descended upon the boy, or had it already taken root in everyone's hearts? In this urban age transformed by rampaging gods, Lin Zhaoran knew nothing of his future. Perhaps fate had already made the only decision meant for him. “Devour your own kind, or be devoured by them along the way.”
