The Scheming Concubine: Splendor of the Marquis's Estate

Looking for Household-Intrigue Novels Where the Heroine Becomes the Principal Wife or a Concubine and Fights for Herself and Her Children

I want palace-intrigue household drama. Nothing where the heroine simply lies flat or clings to someone's coattails. If clinging to someone's coattails lets you be treated as an equal, then you might as well not write an ancient-setting story at all: how fake is that? Life before marriage and scheming for a marriage alliance are fine, such as the perspectives of Lin Xiaoniang and Molan in The Story of Minglan.
