A Rookie at Bureau 749: Kill, Never Redeem

[Ruthless Action] [Scheming + Comedy] [Are Any Ghosts Actually Good?] [If One Punch Will Do, He'll Never Strike Twice]

Li Mao is a transmigrator, a college student scouring the world for ghosts. To find them more easily, becoming a well-paid haunted-house tester seems like a great choice. After all, jobs that pay well and align with your goals are hard to come by.

Who could have guessed there really were ghosts in the haunted house? The property manager had already fallen to his knees, while Li Mao charged ahead, eyes bloodshot with excitement. Virgin boy's urine, black dog blood, little talismans: he threw everything he had at them, anything that might work. As a man whose golden finger had gathered dust for eighteen years, Li Mao saw the hideous ghost before him as downright lovely.

There was only one thought in Li Mao's mind: beat the ghost to death, or get beaten to death by it.

He joins Bureau 749, vowing to send every ghost on to the afterlife.

As one of Bureau 749's top enforcers, Li Mao puts it this way: “Whether you've been wronged or are seeking love, you can tell your story to God. My only goal is to send you to meet Him.”
