The Turmoil at the End of Qin: The Legend of No Clothes

Everything in this book is fictional. Any resemblance to actual events is purely coincidental.

In the final years of the Qin Dynasty, heroes rise across the land. Zhou Wen, a renowned hero of Chenyi, takes up arms in response to Heaven’s mandate and leads his troops to join Chen Sheng, the “King of Zhangchu.”

In his youth, Zhou Wen followed Huang Xie, Lord Chunshen, one of the Four Lords of the Warring States, and later served under Xiang Yan, a famous general of Chu. He is also a celebrated hero and gallant warrior of Chenyi!

Chen Sheng is overjoyed. This is just the time to recruit talent, so he immediately issues an order: Zhou Wen is appointed Great General of the Central Western Route!

Great General Zhou lives up to everyone’s expectations. Leading an army of one hundred thousand, he resolutely breaks through Hangu Pass, the greatest pass under Heaven!

After that, his forces advance like a hot knife through butter, capturing Tong Pass and Ningtai in quick succession, then reaching the gates of Xianyang.

But the other two armies are faring poorly. First, King Wu Guang, the false king, is unable to take Xingyang despite a prolonged siege. Second, General Song Liu’s troops fight for a long time to capture Nanyang, but still fail to take Nanyang Commandery.

As a result, both flanks of Zhou Wen’s army are exposed. His forces are deep in enemy territory and isolated, with no support from the other armies.

Worse still, he faces Qin’s last great general: Zhang Han!

Ordered by imperial decree, Zhang Han hastily leads an army made up of some of the Imperial Guard and hundreds of thousands of convicts pardoned from laboring at Mount Li on the imperial tombs to meet Zhou Wen in battle!

Zhou Wen’s forces suffer defeat after defeat. On the eighteenth day of the twelfth month in the first year of Qin Er Shi’s reign, Zhang Han’s army surrounds them at Mianchi County and wipes them out completely. Faced with Zhang Han’s offer of surrender, Zhou Wen refuses to suffer the humiliation. After making arrangements for what is to come, he bows toward King Chen Sheng, drinks three bowls of strong liquor, draws his sword, and takes his own life...
