Wen Xingyao and his companions faced one perilous adventure after another. In Qingping Town, Wen Xingyao used the power of coins and a runic formation to break the seal on a black box and drive away the evil spirits. In the Forgotten Lands, he and a mysterious woman were hunted by men in black robes. At the critical moment, he condensed a sphere of runes and badly wounded the black-robed leader, allowing them to escape. After reuniting with their companions in a cave, they continued searching for a mysterious altar. They opened the passage to the altar and entered a cavern, where they encountered a powerful black-robed enemy. His attacks of black mist drove them to the brink of despair, but Chen Tianhai used an evil-repelling liquid to disperse the fog, and together they fought back. Deep in the cavern, the black-robed man tried to awaken an ancient powerhouse. When the ancient powerhouse awoke, he sent the black-robed man flying and directed the group to a secret chamber to claim the legacy. Wen Xingyao used his knowledge of runes to open the chamber door, but the real test was only just beginning.
