[Decisive and ruthless + monsters must all die + cold-hearted + no female lead + no System + no cookie-cutter tropes]
The Old Gods descend.
Monsters mutate across the globe.
While searching the ruins for something to eat, Bai Xuan accidentally finds a piece of an Old God’s flesh. Faced with the choice between turning into a monster and starving to death, he chooses to eat his fill first and turn into a monster afterward.
To his surprise, he doesn’t become a monster. Instead, he gains the power contained in the Old God’s flesh.
He joins District 24 and becomes a monster containment specialist.
From that moment on, he mercilessly contains all kinds of monsters, devouring their flesh as he grows infinitely stronger.
Bai Xuan: “Let that monster go. I’ll contain it!”
District 24: “That’s not containing it. You’re planning to eat it!”
