“Lu Feng, this detector says there’s something up ahead we can pick. No idea what it is, though,” Lin Yue said, bouncing along. In this oppressive wasteland, her energy was like a light all her own.
“Who cares what it is, as long as it’s edible or useful. Finding anything worthwhile out here is a win,” Lu Feng said, squinting at the dust-choked landscape ahead.
“Lu Feng, these fruits look so delicious.”
Lu Feng came over and examined them closely. “They’re so brightly colored, they might be poisonous. We should be careful.”
But Lin Yue couldn’t resist the temptation. She reached out, picked one, and took a small bite. In an instant, her expression turned extremely strange.
“What’s wrong? Are you poisoned?” Lu Feng asked anxiously.
Lin Yue burst out laughing. “It’s sweet and sour, with this incredible fragrance I can’t even describe. It’s delicious!” As she spoke, she took another big bite.
