When the little white rabbit in Zhongli Xue's arms is mistaken by the sect elders for the legendary nine-tailed celestial fox, her fate changes overnight. This solitary rogue cultivator becomes an inner disciple of the Qingxiao Sect, gaining a top-grade cave dwelling and abundant cultivation resources.
But behind this apparent stroke of luck lies a grave danger. Elder Qingxu seems kind and benevolent, but he covets Zhongli Xue's ill-fated constitution and plans to refine her into a pill that will boost his cultivation. Nor is the little white rabbit in her arms as simple as it seems: it is actually a divided soul of the ancient divine beast Jiuying, transformed into a rabbit by a heavenly tribulation.
Amid the dangers lurking within the sect, Zhongli Xue forms a pact with Xiaobai and embarks on an adventure that is both perilous and wondrous. She must learn to control her ill-fated constitution and help Xiaobai regain its true form, all while evading the open attacks and hidden schemes of the sect. Along the way, she will gradually discover that the "bad luck" she has always regarded as a curse is actually the source of her greatest strength.
This is a cultivation adventure about defying fate, bonds forged by a pact, and personal growth: a wondrous journey shared by an unlucky girl and the divided soul of a divine beast.
