I Sealed Away the Gods

[Lighthearted comedy + Eastern cosmic horror + ensemble cast + sequence powers + smart characters]

Setting: When Gu Yi opened the [Forbidden Gate], he saw a vast ocean of stars.

In its distant waters swam enormous, majestic, bizarre creatures.

They took many forms, but all shared certain traits: soft, smooth, elastic, enveloping, tentacles...

Looking at these haughty [gods], Gu Yi smiled. “I am the guardian of the Forbidden Gate, the embodiment of time and space.”

“Starting today, I officially open negotiations with you!”

“You may call me the Silver Key, or simply the Gate. But remember one thing: never call me ‘a lowly human’ or ‘an ant-like creature’!”

“Because I have another title: God-Tyrant!”

Character profile: Everyone says Gu Yi is crazy.

But Gu Yi knows he is perfectly sane.

The doctors at the psychiatric hospital say he has delusions about himself and the world that have no basis in reality.

But if something is true, can it really be called a delusion?

For example, Gu Yi believes the world has gods because he has really seen them.

And he believes he is the guardian of the [Forbidden Gate] because he really does guard a gate.

Can something you have seen with your own eyes be false?

“If I’m crazy...”

“Then this world has long since gone completely mad!”

“That’s right. I, Gu Yi, seal the gods of the myriad heavens and wield miraculous powers!”
