Ye Bingshang was once a good person.
She gave money to people struggling to make ends meet, built schools for children, treated servants with respect, rescued small animals, and worked hard. She never looked down on Tantai Jin.
She did good deeds not for fame, but because goodness came naturally to her. She worked hard only to find a place where she could make a life for herself in this world.
But how did it all end?
Tantai Jin, a fiend guilty of every evil under the sun, was saved by the so-called Goddess. Yet she was tortured and murdered by this ungrateful, poisonous man, and in the end was condemned as innately vicious and wholly evil. Where was Heaven’s justice?
Only after her death did Ye Bingshang learn that she was merely a villainous supporting character in the love story of the fiend Tantai Jin and the Goddess Li Susu.
What a ridiculous label.
If this is the story Heaven has written, if this is the “villainous” fate decreed for her... then she will no longer be a stepping stone for others to find happiness! She will tear apart this so-called script of destiny. Even if her soul is scattered, she will demand true justice from hypocritical Heaven, from the ungrateful poisonous man, and from the lofty “Goddess.”
This is the tragic ending she chose for herself.
