The story is set in Yunzhou City, where warlords are fighting, and tells the adventures and struggles of Jiang Jinye, Shen Changge, Su Li and others. Jiang Jinye entered Yunzhou for the first time and witnessed Bai Xiao's atrocities. He and Shen Changge didn't know each other and worked together to fight against the evil forces led by Bai Xiao. During the process, Liu Sanniang was actually selling orphans in the name of disaster relief, which was exposed by Su Li in a song. Jiang Jinye cut off one of his fingers to gain trust and formed an alliance with Bai Xiao.
Later, Green Snake appeared and threatened Jiang Jinye with Shen Changge's life. Su Li read his memory and revealed the truth about being brainwashed by Mr. Ying. As the investigation deepened, they discovered the sins of the church. Father Aaron colluded with Japanese Unit 731, and Jiang Jinye shot him in public.
In the end, Mr. Ying turned out to be Jiang Jinye's father, and he directed and acted in the murder case. Jiang Jinye detonated the arsenal to prevent the Blood Moon Banquet, and Shen Changge died for Su Li. The story ended with an open ending in which Su Li disappeared with the secret scroll in his arms, and Jiang Jinye heard the cry of a baby in the ruins.
