In the third year of Xuande in the Ming Dynasty, Chen He, a doctor of agriculture, traveled through time and became a young man from a poor family whose parents both died. Faced with his uncle who usurped the land, the village chief who tampered with the fish scale register, and his young sister who was waiting for food, he relied on modern agricultural knowledge to cultivate hybrid rice and improve farm tools. Starting from a bushel of brown rice, he navigated the clan system and the craftsmanship system of the Ming Dynasty. Through the research and development of Sanfu soy sauce, salt was obtained, and the cotton cloth trade was used to open up canal trade routes, and eventually an empire spanning agriculture, handicrafts, and commerce was established. During this period, he and Su Mingtang, the tea merchant's daughter, went from competing for interests to working together for innovation, exposing the old cases of the Yongle Dynasty Arms Bureau and reshaping the Ming Dynasty's economic landscape.
