In a turbulent martial world, feng shui master Fang Shuyu stands by justice and refuses his second senior brother, Zhuge Yuan's, proposal to use dark arts to alter the feng shui. His refusal earns him resentment and a frame-up, and after he is punished by Heaven, he becomes an enemy of the martial world. While fleeing, he is rescued by Shen Yifan, a poet and beggar. On his deathbed, Shen entrusts his son, Shen Fanchen, to Fang Shuyu.
Shen Fanchen is shunned by his neighbors from childhood, but under Fang Shuyu's guidance, he masters the essence of feng shui. He leaves home to venture through the martial world, encountering one fortuitous adventure after another. His abilities grow tremendously, and he makes many friends. While upholding justice, he discovers that the Spirit Sect and the Samo Sect are secretly colluding, plotting to rule the continent with evil feng shui techniques and forbidden dark arts. Shen Fanchen leads the forces of justice against them in repeated clashes and exposes a shocking conspiracy.
In Volume Two, Shen Fanchen joins forces with Fang Shuyu and his eldest senior brother, Qin Yichen, to establish an alliance of justice and prepare to oppose the two sects. On their way to the secret palace, they are ambushed and face dangers at every turn. Inside the palace, Shen Fanchen obtains a cultivation technique for immortality and makes a huge leap in strength. He also resolves the crisis of trust sparked by Ouyang Yu's past, and ultimately defeats the enemy, with everyone in the palace getting what they came for.
In Volume Three, the martial world enjoys a brief respite after the mysterious forces are destroyed, but the remnants of the Spirit Sect and Samo Sect join forces and stir up trouble once more. Shen Fanchen leads his team to root out the remaining enemies, then retreats to an immortal mountain to cultivate and teach disciples. Years later, his disciples discover a mysterious ruin, and Shen Fanchen and the others embark on another adventure. They defeat the leader of the mysterious forces and use the power of the inheritance orb to protect the peace. Their story is passed down through the ages, inspiring those who come after them.
