The Origin of a Speck of Dust

All living things are but specks of dust, each with their own origin.

Born into an age of strife among the immortal sects, Jiang En was nothing more than an unnoticed speck of dust.

He thought he would spend his life drifting with the current, pushed along by fate, until someone set his karma in motion.

Only then did he see clearly: he had long since been placed on the board as a piece for the powerful to play.

But how could those who move the pieces know they aren’t caught in the game of Heaven’s will and fate themselves?

Cause gives rise to effect, and effect gives rise to cause. Those who meddle with karma will eventually face the consequences.

The wind stirs the dust of the mortal world. It controls the direction of every speck, yet carries them away from the cages they once knew.

When the dust no longer fears the wind, the wind becomes a guide instead of a shackle.

At last, Jiang En understands: fate is the wind, and karma is dust.

Until the dust settles, the wind never stops.

And when he grows strong enough, the wind that once swept him along becomes a storm at his fingertips.

And now, the wind is only just beginning.
