In 2025, the once wildly popular esports game League of Legends entered yet another slump.
But unlike previous downturns, which came when strong competitors appeared, this time interest had fallen in both the game and its competitions.
Internet cafes and university esports clubs alike seemed to have moved on from League of Legends, turning instead to games like CS:GO and Naraka: Bladepoint.
But does that really mean this once peerless, king-of-the-genre game has fallen into decline?
No!
Even as its popularity wanes, its once-massive audience hasn’t disappeared. The players who used to love League have simply blended into the crowd. They might be the uncle running a street stall, an office worker, or a student. Though they’ve lost the passion they once had, every now and then they still find time for a few games or reminisce with the friends they used to queue up with about those days spent packed five to a computer in an internet cafe.
Meanwhile, the young stars who started their careers at their peak have gradually become old-timers. But they haven’t given up either! They train day and night, reviewing every match afterward. Even at twenty-seven or twenty-eight, they’re still working hard. Why? Because the Demon King still hasn’t fallen!
Because they still haven’t claimed that final championship trophy!
From this moment on, age is no excuse. Everyone, put everything on the line and fight for that final championship!
No matter what game you play, whether you’ve left your hometown or feel trapped by the passing years, please don’t forget those days that still shine brightly in your memories!
Let this King of League of Legends Returns take you back to the past that once drove you wild.
