After a mix-up on a blind date, pet doctor An Xiaotang ends up registering her marriage with tech upstart Gu Mingcheng. They sleep together by accident after getting drunk, but she has no idea he’s the “sharp-tongued guy” she once complained about.
To deal with his family’s pressure to marry, Gu Mingcheng proposes a fake marriage contract. An Xiaotang accepts a ten-million-yuan fee to help stray animals. The two begin a chaotic life together in the Gu family’s old residence.
Gu Mingcheng’s childhood sweetheart, jewelry designer Lin Xuerou, returns home and secretly schemes after discovering their marriage is a sham. An Xiaotang unexpectedly gets pregnant but chooses to keep it secret because of a misunderstanding, leaving the three of them caught in an emotional maze.
