When Heart’s Addiction Meets the Light

“She hides a secret beneath her gloves, but on the darkest, rainiest night, she encounters the one person who can see through her scars.”

At 23, Lin Mian suffers from “contact phobia” because of the trauma of a childhood fire. She wears black gloves all year to hide her burn scars. On the surface, she's a composed counselor; inside, she's trapped in a spiral of self-loathing. Then she unexpectedly becomes a special psychological consultant for a criminal investigation squad and is forced into contact with its captain, Cheng Ye, a detective who developed post-traumatic stress disorder during an undercover mission. Both are patients seeking healing. As they uncover the truth behind a string of arson attacks, they tear away each other's disguises and confront the struggle between addiction and redemption.
