Beastars: Legoshi, Let Go of My Brother

An original dual-male-lead, pure-romance anthology. Later on, it becomes a healing ensemble story, completely separate from the characterizations and tragic plot of the original Beastars. Everyone's story goes from angst to sweetness. The focus is on gentle, mutual devotion, with every character reimagined from scratch. The original protagonist is Lu Xi, an eighteen-year-old white deer. Gentle yet resilient despite his difficult past, he was trapped with his older brother Louis in the black market's live-bait trade as a child, struggling to survive under the codename "No. 5." After escaping that darkness, he was adopted by Ogemar, heir to the HORNS conglomerate. Inspired by the top beast BEASTAR Yafaya, he trained hard in martial arts. Though soft and gentle on the outside, he is strong within. A moonlit first encounter sparks love at first sight between him and the gray wolf Legoshi. After years of traveling the world, Lu Xi returns in his senior year of high school to Cherryton Academy. He joins Haru's class and his brother Louis's drama club, beginning a new life on campus.

The story initially has two couples: the wolf and deer, Legoshi × Lu Xi, a gentle story of salvation and fated devotion; and the lion and deer, Ibuki × Louis, a tsundere's indulgent affection and mutual attraction.

Other couples include Riz × Tem, an affectionate brown bear starved for love × a gentle, healing alpaca, whose hugs soothe every anxiety; Pina × Bill, a mischievous, forward white ram × a tiger who's prickly on the outside but softhearted within, bickering in daily life while secretly cherishing each other; Gosha × Yafaya, a steady, accepting monitor lizard × a haughty, awkward black stallion, sharing a lifetime of quiet understanding; and Melon × Agata, a cold, sharp-tongued leopard-gazelle hybrid × a love-struck lion, falling at first sight and pursuing him all the way.

The story unfolds through campus life, amusing everyday incidents, encounters in the evening breeze, keeping each other company late at night, and the ins and outs of the black market. The ensemble cast shines, and every couple has its own tender story.
