The story takes place in the "Nine Lights Continent", an oriental fantasy world based on the power of stars as the foundation of cultivation. There are twelve ancient races on the continent, each mastering different secrets of the star palace. The cultivation system is divided into nine realms: Kaiyang, Yaoguang, Yuheng, Tianquan, Tianji, Tianxuan, Tianshu, Pojun, and Greedy Wolf.
