Chang Feng, a menial disciple whose spiritual root was shattered by heavenly lightning, awakens the Primordial Star Ruins Physique sealed within him at the brink of death. His shattered meridians become patterns of stars, and each life star he lights lets him steal the Dao’s resonance from heaven and earth. When he enters the Nine Nether Secret Realm to seek revenge, he encounters Luo Jiuli, a woman in black trapped inside a coffin of cold jade. The one hunting her is Su Yingxue, the saintess of Cloudcliff Sword Pavilion, foremost among the three great immortal sects.
The demon sect’s saintess kneels at his feet, holding half of a bloodstained star sundial, while a prodigy of the Dao Alliance swings a sword and severs his last ties to the mortal world. When Chang Feng discovers that his heart was replaced long ago with the remains of an ancient star god, blood-soaked truths buried for millennia come crashing down, bringing with them a calamity that will destroy the world…
