New Life in the Dust:

My sister-in-law, eight months pregnant, was pushed down by someone. She suffered severe bleeding and was rushed to the hospital.

I was driving past, but I rolled up my window, pretended I hadn't seen a thing, and drove away.

In my previous life, I came across my sister-in-law lying unconscious and bleeding heavily. I took her to the hospital immediately.

But her condition was critical. After the severe bleeding, she suffered an amniotic fluid embolism, and my husband was the best obstetrician in the city.

I called him and begged him to hurry to the hospital. But he thought I was jealous that he was having dinner with his first love's family,

and was throwing a tantrum, using my sister-in-law's accident to force him to come back.

By the time my in-laws arrived, my sister-in-law had died after doctors failed to save her from the amniotic fluid embolism.

His entire family blamed me for her death, convinced that I had deliberately misled my husband and caused my sister-in-law to die.

My brother-in-law, who had rushed back from out of town, believed their lies. Overcome with grief, he hacked me to death at my sister-in-law's funeral.

When I opened my eyes again, I was back on the day my sister-in-law was pushed down and began bleeding heavily.
