The story takes place in a vast world called "Nine Heavens Continent", which is divided into nine heavenly realms. Each heavenly realm is controlled by powerful sects, families and mysterious forces. The world is filled with "spiritual energy" and "power of chaos". Monks improve their realm by cultivating spiritual energy or swallowing the power of chaos.
