Any Great Historical Romance Novels With Subtle Emotions and Beautiful Writing?
Preferably both leads are strong and skilled at political maneuvering, like The Poisonous Daughter. I don't want male or female supporting characters who are portrayed as the unobtainable ideal, making it impossible to hate them and instead making you feel sorry for them. I want the romance between the leads to develop naturally and with nuance.
