On the edge of the town, there is a winding river. On weekdays, the river water is clear and flows slowly, nourishing the surrounding land. But every summer, with frequent heavy rains, the river water rises rapidly, becomes turbid and turbulent, and rushes down carrying all kinds of debris.
It was a late night with lightning and thunder, and there was a heavy rain. The big raindrops hit the roof and the ground, causing layers of water splashes. The wind howled, making the windows rattle. Living by the river, I was disturbed by the bad weather and couldn't sleep. I got up and walked to the window to see what was going on outside.

It's good-looking, a bit like a detective novel, and the ghostly and supernatural events make you want to see the ending. I'd like to give it a thumbs up.
