Survival Is Hard in the Apocalypse

Any High-Quality Post-Apocalyptic Stories?

I'm completely out of books to read. So many highly rated ones just don't hold my interest; they all feel the same. I'm looking for something I can binge in one go. Male- or female-oriented fiction is fine. I want a decisive protagonist who doesn't act like a saint or fool around with a harem. Monster-fighting and stockpiling supplies are both fine. Just make sure the plot makes sense.
