Tomb Raiding: Thirty Years in the Trade

Tomb raiding: what does it mean?

Profiting from the dead while damaging the living’s virtue.

Tomb raiding isn’t about leveling up by fighting monsters, nor is it an expedition to the poles. It’s a livelihood, a bitter last resort when you’ve run out of options.

Ancient tombs aren’t filled with that many traps. What they do hold are schemes and betrayals, along with the cutthroat business of fencing stolen goods. It’s betrayal and backstabbing fueled by greed, and the heart-pounding adventures of ghost-lantern bearers and tomb robbers.

(I once thought I’d try writing a novel like everyone else and make enough for a couple of packs of cigarettes. I put two books out there and couldn’t even get close to withdrawing any earnings, so I might as well write about some of my past experiences. Those who speak are not to blame; those who hear should take heed. You can read about tomb raiding, but don’t try it yourself.)
