The book "Choices at the Crossroads: China 1956-1957" collects nine historical monographs on China from 1956 to 1957 published by Shen Zhihua. These papers are independent articles, but they have close logical relationships with each other. Compared with previous works that study this period of history, this book analyzes the history of China's socialist construction and the history of the international communist movement, thus drawing many new insights.
