Princess Xiyue has a dream. In it, a spoiled, willful, and merciless woman preys on the people to build herself a golden palace, only to have her tendons ripped out, her skin flayed, and her body torn apart by five horses. What? The woman’s title is Princess Xiyue! Isn’t that her? Five-year-old Xiyue stares in bewilderment. “Will I grow up to be a wicked villain who commits every evil under the sun?” No! Absolutely not! That’s such a cruel way to die. It must hurt so much! Xiyue shakes her head and clenches her tiny fists. “I can’t let things turn out like they did in the dream. I’ll start by eating vegetarian and praying to build up merit. How did she end up becoming the female emperor of an entire nation?
