Cold War Apocalypse: a Series of Special Reports on the History of the Cold War Between the United States and the Soviet Union

Currently, Sino-US relations are in the most tense and critical situation since the two countries normalized relations for more than 40 years. Has Sino-US relations entered or will eventually enter a "New Cold War" state? In what direction will the current state of things develop? What was the result? How should China respond to the aggressive offensive and pressure from the United States? For these questions, not only all departments in China are thinking about it, but all fields in the academic community must also provide answers. As a historian, especially one who specializes in the international history of the Cold War, I have an unshirkable responsibility. The Cold War International History Research Center of East China Normal University was entrusted by the National Office of Philosophy and Social Sciences to organize scholars from the school and related domestic fields to write fifteen special reports based on previous historical research, including the origins of the Cold War in Europe and Asia, the U. S.-Soviet space and nuclear weapons competition, the United States It examines and analyzes the strategies and tactics of the United States and the Soviet Union in the formation and development of the Cold War, as well as the historical experiences and lessons of their victories and defeats.
