[A modern political battleground meets a goofy young man’s fight to survive]

My name is Xiao Yu, and I’m a goofy young man.

Who could have imagined I’d get mixed up in the world of politics?

First my engagement was broken off, then someone tricked me into taking drugs. One piece of bad luck after another.

But I’m not going to let it knock me down. I have my own special wisdom for navigating officialdom, taught to me by a reclusive master.

In this era of political reform, I’m going to make a place for myself.
