In a parallel world, the Tang Dynasty has reached an advanced level of development. Two hundred years after the journey to the West, the Age of Declining Dharma descends. The entire incense-and-faith system collapses, and the mortal world becomes a battlefield. The original pilgrimage route is warped by spatial distortions. A “Swamp of Desire” forms where Flaming Mountain meets Flowing Sand River, while a corrupted scripture stele lies dormant beneath Tongtian River. The chain of karma is broken, good and evil no longer bring their due rewards, and cultivators are instead consumed by karmic fire, creating a vortex of the “Merit Paradox.”
Can the main characters set things right and return this collapsing world to its proper course, or will they destroy it and start over?
