Back to the Year We First Met

So all that beauty was nothing but my imagination.

In my dark and colorless youth, I met a boy who shone like a star. He was the savior I found in the abyss.

That summer in 2018, Zhou Ling met Jiang Jiaming for the first time. The boy sat alone beneath a parasol tree. "What's your name?" "Jiang Jiaming."

That summer was the end of Jiang Jiaming's life, and the end of Zhou Ling's memories.

As time went on, the boy slept forever in summer, while the girl forgot that summer forever.

Forgetting forever may have been the best ending Zhou Ling could have had.

Maybe every ending is unfair in some way, but the facts cannot be changed. Everyone hopes they can have a happy ending, but reality won't allow it.
