I regret not reading the comments first, they are just a bunch of long-winded descriptions and the actual content is incomprehensible. For example, the last train at midnight in Chapters 22 to 28 is probably about: helping the little girl get home, getting on the bus and seeing the scary passengers but unable to contact the outside world, and trying to escape with a window breaker to die. The last living person was eaten by the passenger who came up because he had occupied his seat. I wrote 16,000 words on such a few unrelated things, and every action and scene in the story has descriptions and metaphors.
The plot and writing are all average. I don't like the character of the protagonist. The chapters are all based on long-winded and repetitive descriptions and metaphors. Compared with the "The House" I just finished, the level gap is too big. I gave it up.
