Paranormal blogger Lin Yu enters a gloomy old mansion to investigate a bizarre legend. He thinks it will be an ordinary exploration, never realizing he has stepped into an endless nightmare. Inside the mansion, portraits fall for no reason, eerie whispers echo through the halls, and mysterious texts send terrifying warnings.
At death's door, he encounters Niannian, a wronged spirit trapped there. As his investigation deepens, Lin Yu discovers the mansion's dark secret: the living were sacrificed there, and Niannian was one of the victims.
As Lin Yu grows closer to Niannian, he begins to pity her and resolves to set her free. On the night of the full moon, he starts a ritual to break the curse, only to be met with frenzied resistance from a powerful evil force.
At last, he purifies Niannian's soul. But after returning to normal life, Lin Yu is tormented by longing and pain, and his mind becomes clouded. When he returns to the mansion, he is horrified to discover that the evil force has not been destroyed and Niannian's soul is still imprisoned.
To save Niannian, Lin Yu plunges into the dark abyss. The final battle, a fight to the death, is about to begin. Can he succeed?
