[No System + One Female Lead + Nuwa + No Demonizing Hongjun or Yuanshi + Scheming and Strategizing + Witch-Demon War + Investiture of the Gods + Journey to the West]
“My name is Xia Qing. Xia as in Xia-Shang, Qing as in blue sky.”
“I, Xia Qing, would like to make a deal with you, fellow Daoist.”
I get knocked unconscious by Fuxi at our first meeting? I turn the tables and whisk Nuwa away to become my Daoist partner.
Those blood-red visions keep appearing? Daozu, you wouldn’t want the primordial world to be destroyed, would you?
The Witch-Demon War, Houtu’s mysterious outburst? Uh-oh, I’ve really never seen this one before.
To survive, spurred on by the blood-red visions and relying on his understanding of the primordial world’s greater trends, Xia Qing makes deal after deal that changes the course of history.
With every deal, he lays another piece of his plan.
He battles Heaven, Earth, and man, seeking to win a lifetime of carefree immortality.
Only later does Xia Qing realize that in the primordial world, there are neither good people nor bad people. Everyone simply follows their own path and finds their own fate.
It was all destined from the start.
