The Perfect Vessel

Mixologist Lin Xiaoman saves Gu Chengze, CEO of the Gu Group, after he is drugged at a private club. But this draws her into a corporate conspiracy and costs her her job. The two share their first physical contact on a rainy night. A week later, when Lin Xiaoman attends an interview at the Gu Group, she discovers that the mysterious man from that night is the interviewer. Gu Chengze recognizes the woman who saved him, but mistakenly believes she has ulterior motives and deliberately makes things difficult for her.

Lin Xiaoman passes the assessment through her professionalism and becomes the CEO's secretary. Gu Chengze deliberately snubs her during meetings, while secretly observing how she handles crises. An unexpected encounter in the break room lets Gu Chengze catch the scent of gardenia on Lin Xiaoman, the same fragrance he remembers. He begins to wonder if he has misjudged her.

Zhou Qian, a deputy team leader suddenly assigned to the project group, unexpectedly makes a friendly overture, hinting that Lin Xiaoman could try for the position of the CEO's personal assistant. There seems to be a bigger secret behind it.
